Riset Ceremonies Services

Every ceremony marks a moment that matters. I create bespoke, heartfelt ceremonies that honour those moments with care and meaning — from life’s greatest celebrations to its quietest goodbyes.

Weddings, Commitment & Civil Ceremonies

As a civil celebrant, I create ceremonies that reflect your relationship and your story. My approach is non-religious, but I’m always happy to include hymns, prayers, blessings or acknowledgements of loved ones present in spirit, if that feels right for you — all delivered with warmth and sincerity.

Vow Renewals

Vow renewals can mark an anniversary, celebrate resilience, or simply say “I still choose you.” Together, we’ll create a ceremony that honours your journey so far and looks forward to what’s still to come.

Naming ceremonies celebrate love, belonging and the promises being made. They can welcome a new baby, honour adoption, or mark the joining of a blended family. Each ceremony is non-religious, personal and entirely bespoke.

Funerals, Memorials & Interments

I work closely with families to create ceremonies that honour a life truthfully and respectfully — whether quiet and reflective or celebratory in tone.

I offer support with wedding vows, speeches and readings — writing from scratch or refining your own words — so what you say feels natural, heartfelt and truly you.

Find Out More About Ceremonial Elements

Ceremony elements are symbolic rituals that can be included in your wedding ceremony. Many have Celtic roots and come from ancient traditions in Britain.

They add a beautiful, meaningful moment to your ceremony and can involve your family and loved ones too — celebrating not just your union as a couple, but the people around you.

They’re simple, powerful, and a wonderful way to make your ceremony feel even more personal. I love including them.

Learn More About Handfasting Ceremonies

Handfasting is a beautiful symbolic ritual that represents unity, commitment and the binding together of two lives. These short videos will give you a feel for how this meaningful tradition can be woven into your ceremony.

Adding Symbolism into Your Ceremony

Symbolism is a beautiful way to personalise your ceremony, using colours, flowers, and meaningful details to reflect your story and values. From representing love and strength to honouring heritage or important causes, every element can be chosen with intention to create something truly authentic and memorable.

Riset Ceremonies

If you choose me as your Celebrant, please don’t hesitate to ask me for advice or ideas to make the ceremony more personal.

Step 1: Contact me.

We’ll talk about the occasion and arrange a meeting in person or via Zoom if this isn’t possible.

You put the kettle on; I’ll get my notepad out and we’ll simply chat. I’m a ‘people person’ so I’m pretty sure we can form a productive relationship. If it’s a wedding, we’ll meet a few times before ‘the big day.’

This is my bit. Essentially, I want to gain a rich understanding of the essence of the person or people involved and the details you want like music, readings, activities and themes etc. It’s all about building something together. I’ll listen to you carefully so that I can create a ceremony you can look back on and feel was done ‘just right’.

Step 2: The meeting.

Step 3: The writing.

What will I do as your Celebrant?

In my world, words are everything. My role is to put words to your feelings and make important occasions memorable for important people.

I can genuinely say that to be entrusted with composing a bespoke celebration of life - or celebration in life, is nothing short of a privilege.

Firstly, you want someone to organise, write and express the right words on what may be the most difficult day or the most joyous of days.

I offer:

  • Wedding and commitment ceremonies

  • Vow renewal ceremonies

  • Naming ceremonies (babies, blended families, adopted families)

  • Funeral and memorial ceremonies

  • Interment

  • Other personal milestone ceremonies (graduation, big birthdays, anniversaries, bon voyage , welcome home …)

  • Scriptwriting service (help with your vows or speech)

Whatever the occasion, it will be a day driven by emotion and I want to help you turn your ideas into something unique to you.
